Semi-sober thoughts
What I’ve learned from such is to not feel sorry for who you are or what you’ve done. Everything you’ve done in your life is a result of your surroundings, what you’ve learned over time. If you regret what you’ve done, then you regret who you are. To regret who you are is to dislike yourself. Be proud of who you are. Everyone has their ups and downs. Live, learn, and grow because some day you will die. You will have no second life, there is no fairy-tale heaven. Do you want to regret your life?
Tonight I confessed that I had loved someone for the past year and that even though I may not have shown it, it is true. Do I have regrets for not have shown it? Sure, but that’s life. It hurts. That’s how you know you’re human, that’s how you know you’re alive. Live and learn. If one thing has held true over my 21 years on Earth it’s that if you don’t learn your lesson the first time you’re destined to repeat your mistakes. Live and learn.
